One-and-a-Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, attributed to Wm. Macquoid, New York, New York, circa 1870, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt split-stem floral design. 3" inverted Y-shaped line from rim on front. One handle with chips to one end and wear to opposite end. Some very faint lines in underside, probably in-the-firing. Some fry to cobalt. H 11".
