Five-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "A.L. HYSSONG / BLOOMSBURG, PA," circa 1890, squat-shaped jug with tooled shoulder and semi-squared rim, decorated with two large brushed cobalt tulips. Desirable large size and strong decoration. Large horizontal crack at base. Approximately 4" hairline on underside, which becomes a crack and extends 4" vertically up base of jug. Small stone ping to shoulder. Salt glob to shoulder. H 16 1/2".
