Slip-Decorated Redware Plate with Initials "DC," attributed to Norwalk, CT, circa 1840, with coggled edge, decorated in yellow slip with the large initials "DC" between two wavy lines. Provenance: William Kelly Young Collection. 2" x 2 1/2" restored section to surface. 3/8" filled and colored flake to front. Rim chip and some filled and colored spots to rim. Diameter 9".
