Glazed Redware Spittoon with Star Decoration, American, mid to late 19th century, molded spittoon with carved opening at shoulder and raised star design around its circumference, decorated with splashed manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Provenance: William Kelly Young Collection. 1" chip to top edge along with a few other small edge chips. Several large base chips. Wear to carved slot at shoulder. H 4" ; Diameter 9".
