Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with "Ghost Bird" and Floral Decoration, NY State origin, circa 1870, straight-sided crock with applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed cobalt leaf design surrounding a large, hollow bird. Heavy fry to cobalt. Two small rim chips on reverse, one of which has a short thin line extending through it that remains in rim only. H 10 1/2".
