Rare Large-Sized Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Crock, Stenciled "HENRY GAST, / LANC, PA," circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated front and back with a folky brushed fern or pine tree design, under one handle with a flower, and under opposite handle with a leaf design. Stenciled with maker's mark of Henry Gast of Lancaster, PA under one handle. Broken into pieces and reglued. 1 1/2" separation from rim on one side. Rim chips. H 14".
