Lead and Manganese Glaze Redware Lidded Ale Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," circa 1850, ovoid mug with domed lid and slightly flared collar, decorated with streaks of manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Mug in mint condition. Lid with edge chip and wear to flange on underside. H (including lid) 6 1/4".
