Exceptional Small-Sized Redware Jug, Stamped "JOHN BELL," Waynesboro, PA, circa 1850-1880, squat form with thick rim and applied handle, covered in a streaked orange and brown glaze. Very unusual form and size (only 5 1/2" tall). Impressed with the maker"s mark "JOHN BELL" running vertically along the handle. A superior example of the John Bell jug form. Outstanding mint condition. Height 5 1/2".
