Salt-Glazed Stoneware Pig Flask, Midwestern U.S. origin, fourth quarter 19th century, molded flask in the form of a reclining pig with spout at rear and molded and incised details to face and hooves, the surface covered in a heavy salt glaze with brownish mottling to upper body. The first pig from this specific mold that we have offered. Missing proper right ear. Loss to spout. A minor, in-the-firing line along mold seam at lower jaw. L 7".
