Blue-Glazed Stoneware Figure of a Rooster, Signed and Dated "Edwin Meaders / 7-17-1999," Cleveland, GA origin, 1999, wheel-thrown and hand-modeled figure of a rooster with impressed eyes and saw-toothed details to comb and tail, the surface covered in a blue glaze. Underside with incised "Edwin Meaders" signature and date. Rooster was broken and restored with later blue paint to base and much of body, as well as red paint added to the comb and wattle and black-and-white paint to the eyes. Two small unrestored nicks to tail. H 16 1/2".
