Rare Half-Gallon Stoneware Bowl with Paterson, NJ Advertising, attributed to Union Pottery, Newark, NJ, circa 1880, flaring bowl with semi-rounded rim, featuring the freehand cobalt advertising for the Paterson, NJ merchants, "P.H. & W.G. Shields." Three colored cracks from rim, not affecting front. A salt drip to rim area on front. Diam. 8 1/8" ; H 4 3/8".
