Remarkable Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Gemel, Stamped Twice "NEW-HAVEN," Absalom Stedman or Stedman & Seymour, New Haven, CT, circa 1825, two miniature ovoid jugs with rounded spouts, conjoined at the side with applied vertical handle between them, decorated with cobalt highlights to the juncture between the jugs, the handle, the maker's marks, and shoulder of the proper right jug. Only a small group of miniature stoneware examples of this prized New Haven form are known, this example possibly the smallest. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 2 1/2".
