Two Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Bean Pots with Swirl Pattern, Both Marked "REINHARDT BROS. / VALE, N.C.," circa 1935, pair of squat-shaped, handled jars with flared rims, each composed of swirled clay and covered in an alkaline glaze. Both retain their original lids. One marked on underside, the other marked at shoulder with "REINHARDT BROS. / VALE, N.C." maker's marks. Example marked on underside has a rim chip and a partially glazed-over firing crack descending from shoulder to midsection. Example marked on shoulder in excellent, essentially as-made condition. H (of taller, including lid) 8".
