Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, attributed to the Stone or Penland Family, Buncombe County, NC, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with flaring rim and incised straight and wavy line treatment to the base of the collar, the surface covered in a mottled light-brown alkaline glaze with darker accents. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10 3/4".
