Four Pieces of Salt-Glazed Stoneware, Northeastern U.S. origin, 19th century, an undecorated, unmarked pitcher and batter pail with tin lid; an ovoid jar with brushed floral decoration, stamped "E SELBY & CO / HUDSON N. Y.; and a highly ovoid jug with cobalt-accented maker's mark, stamped "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON, Vt." Pitcher with heavy rim chips and hairlines in underside, continuing onto base area. Batter pail with chipping around rim along with wear and two chips to spout. Selby jar with significant curving crack and staining. Bennington jug with poorly-restored handle, extending partway onto spout, as well as paint residue to surface of jug indicating possible restoration. H (of jug) 10 3/4".
