Two Stoneware Articles, Southern U.S. origin, late 19th or early 20th century, a three-gallon semi-ovoid jug with Albany-slip-type glaze, incised "3" at shoulder, GA origin; paired with a canning jar with salt-over-Albany-slip glaze. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Jug with surface, base, and spout wear. Jar with a few rim chips, blistering to glaze, significant in-the-firing residue to underside, and a long firing line to underside, not visible on interior. H (of taller) 16 1/2".
