Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Rooster Bowl attributed to Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1956-1969, ovoid form with hand-modeled and applied rooster's head and tail. Incised details throughout. Unusual curled comb on rooster's head. Surface covered in grayish alkaline glaze over a buff clay ground. Unmarked. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Section of wattle broken and reglued. A chip to comb and two chips to tail. H 7 1/4" ; L 8".
