Scarce Small-Sized Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Pitcher, Signed and Dated "Lanier Meaders / 10-10-95 / ClEVElAND. / GA.," 1995, semi-ovoid pitcher with tooled midsection, wide, flaring collar, and deeply-pinched spout, the surface covered in a mottled-brown alkaline glaze with iron spotting. Incised on underside with Lanier Meaders signature and rare late-period date, indicating the pitcher was made less than three years before he died. Provenance: Frank W. White Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 4 1/8".
