Small Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Lincoln County, NC origin, circa 1850-1880, ovoid jug with ribbed handle, tooled spout, and incised straight and wavy line incising around shoulder, the surface covered in a streaky dark-olive alkaline glaze. Provenance: Ex-Griffin Collection. Excellent condition with a 5/8" base chip and a minor chip to interior of spout. Traces of old green paint to base. H 7".
