Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Lincoln County, NC origin, second or third quarter 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with heavily-tooled spout, ribbed strap handle, and incised straight and wavy banding to shoulder, the surface covered in a streaky, dark-olive alkaline glaze. Spout chips. A 1" flake to side of handle. Some light surface wear. H 10 1/2".
