Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar with Impressed Circle, attributed to Landrum Brick and Pottery, Columbia, SC, mid 19th century, mid 19th century, squat-shaped, ovoid jar with slightly-flared rim and arched lug handles, covered in a glossy pale-green alkaline glaze. Impressed circle at shoulder. Heavy, but shallow, chipping around top edge of rim. Wear around inner rim for lid. One handle with a large chip to one terminal and a small chip to opposing terminal. Chips to opposing handle. H 8 5/8".
