Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, attributed to the Pottersville Stoneware Manufactory, possibly David Drake, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1820-1840, ovoid jar with rounded rim and flattened tab handles, the surface featuring a glossy gray-green alkaline glaze with darker coloration at the shoulder and handles. One handle with a 1 3/8" flake, a small chip, and minor wear. A spot of very minor wear to opposing handle. Three rim chips, measuring approximately 2", 1 1/2", and 1 1/4". Additional glaze loss to rim. Small chips around base. H 12 1/4".
