BALLARD / HAYS / NC," Dated 1901, ovoid pitcher with flaring collar, decorated around the midsection with incised combing flanked by straight lines. Reverse incised with the name of the pitcher's owner, "Sarah Owens / 1901." Front impressed with C.C. Ballard maker's mark.
