Two Glazed Redware Jugs, American, 18th and/or 19th centuries, an ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and semi-rounded mouth, the surface covered in a mottled lead-and-manganese glaze, New England origin, 18th or early 19th century; paired with a highly-ovoid jug with blackish lead-and-manganese glaze. Shorter with flakes to handle, some small flakes to body and spout, chipping around bottom edge, and significant flakes to clay on underside. Other jug with a 3" hairline from spout, some wear to spout and handle, a small in-the-firing ping near base, and residue to surface. H (of taller) 11".
