One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with footed base and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated on the front with a vertical tulip motif. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A 3" crack from rim. A shallow 1/2" flake to spout. A jagged crack extending approximately 4" across underside and 5" up front of pitcher. Some fry to cobalt at base of handle. Minor fry to cobalt on front. A small base chip. H 10 3/4".
