One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG .PA," circa 1865, ovoid jug with rounded spout, brush-decorated with a vertical tulip blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Mottling to surface. Some light bubbling to cobalt. A minor in-the-firing ping at bottom edge. H 11 1/2".
