Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with recessed "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "H.F. BEHRENS. / GROCER, / 2217 & 2219 / MARKET STREET / WHEELING. W. VA. / 3601 JACOB ST / SOUTH BRANCH." Stenciled tulip motif near midsection. A 1 1/8" in-the-firing base chip. A 7/8" chipped section to rim. Shallow chipping to interior of rim. H 6 5/8".
