Small-Sized Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, ovoid pitcher with footed base, short, flaring collar, and semi-rounded rim, brush-decorated around the body with three leaning, fan-shaped flowers. Swag decoration to collar and spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Desirable size. Very nice condition. A 1 3/8" semi-circular surface crack to foot on front, not visible on interior. A small spout chip. A minor, glazed-over dent and glazed-over chip to rim. Minor in-the-firing flaws. H 7 1/2".
