Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Face Jug, Stamped "B.B. CRAIG / VALE, N.C.," early fourth quarter 20th century, ovoid jug composed of swirled, two-tone clay, featuring a hand-modeled and applied clay face including kaolin eyes and china teeth, the surface covered in an alkaline glaze. Burlon Craig maker's mark on underside. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 1/2".
