Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Stenciled "A. CONRAD. / SHINNSTON / W VA.," circa 1880, tapering jar with rounded "wax sealer" rim, featuring Alexander Conrad maker's stenciling accented with stenciled flourishes. Chipping around interior of rim. Inner wax sealer rim with an approximately 1 1/2" flake, a small chip, and a glazed-over 5/8" chip. H 7 1/8".
