Three-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jug with Wheeling, WV Advertising, probably Palatine, WV origin, circa 1880, semi-ovoid jug with short spout, featuring the stenciled advertising, "SCHAEFER AND / DRIEHORST CO / WHOLESALE / LIQUOR DEALERS / 1428 MAIN ST. / WHEELING. W.VA." Large freehand "3" flanked by slashes above. An in-the-firing spout chip and some small worn spots to spout. Long in-the-firing stacker marks to shoulder. Some light surface wear. H 16 3/4".
