Cobalt-Stenciled Stoneware Canning Jar with Wheeling, WV Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and inner "wax sealer" rim, featuring the stenciled advertising, "Thomas Colvin, / Grocer, / 193, Market Sq. / West Side, / Wheeling, W .Va." Exterior of rim with one small chip and one minor chip. Interior of rim with two small chips and minor nicks. Light staining. H 6 1/4".
