Scarce Large-Sized Stoneware Flowerpot with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "HAXSTUN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, NY," circa 1875, flare-rimmed pot with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and attached saucer, decorated on the front and reverse with a slip-trailed design of conjoined leaves accented with spots. Chips to saucer. Some light staining. A minor in-the-firing ping and 2 1/4" line near midsection on front, not visible on interior. A 1 1/4" surface line to midsection on proper right side of flowerpot, not visible on interior. H 10 7/8" ; Diam. (at rim) 11 3/4".
