Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F.A. GALE / GALESVILLE N.Y," circa 1860-1865, ovoid jar with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, brush-decorated with a scroll-leafed flowering plant with long stamen. Cobalt highlight to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 10".
