Two-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS.," circa 1858-1877, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and lug handles, brush-decorated with a large leaf accented with dotted trails. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A curving crack descending from rim to midsection on far right side of crock's front. Light staining to surface. A small chip to proper left handle. A flake to proper right handle. Some light bubbling to cobalt. H 9 1/4".
