Salt-Glazed Stoneware Bottle, American Bottle Co., Middlebury, OH, fourth quarter 19th century, featuring an impressed design of an eagle with shield and olive branch along with the impressed inscription, "VITREOUS STONE BOTTLES / WARRANTED NOT TO ABSORB / Manufactured only by / AMERICAN BOTTLE CO. / MIDDLEBURY O." Provenance: Garth's Auction, Delaware, OH. Excellent condition with small stacker marks to the shoulder. Faintness or absence to some of the impressed inscription and eagle motif. H 7 1/8".
