Two Glazed Redware Jars, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, each of ovoid form with tooled shoulder and squared rim, covered in a dark-brown lead-and-manganese glaze. Provenance: From a forty-five-year VA collection. One with rim wear and a minor chip to interior of rim. The other with wear to rim and a 1 1/2" hairline from rim on interior, not visible on exterior. H (of each) 5 3/8".
