Small-Sized Glazed Redware Butter Tub, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'," PA origin, circa 1850-1880, wide, cylindrical form with tooled banding and two open rope-twist handles applied at the rim, resting on three feet, the surface decorated with sponged manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Professional restoration to interior center extending through to underside. H 4 1/4" ; Diam. 6 1/8".
