Miniature Neal's Gap, GA Stoneware Souvenir Pitcher, attributed to Arie Meaders, Cleveland, GA, circa 1960, squat-shaped, ovoid pitcher with wide mouth and brown-glazed surface, incised with the inscription, "SouvieeR (sic) / OF / NeALS GAP / GA." Located in Union and Lumpkin counties, Neal's Gap served as a mountain passage during the Civil War. This pitcher was presumably sold as a memento in a local store. Minor wear to rim and handle. A minuscule base nick. H 2 3/8".
