Fine One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1840, ovoid jar with tall, flaring collar and applied tab handles, profusely- decorated on the front and reverse with a large two-stemmed flowering plant design. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent decoration and color. One rim chip and a 3" hairline from rim.
