Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Philadelphia, PA area, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and semi-squared rim, brush-decorated with a swag-and-hanging flower motif around the midsection. Swag decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Chipping around base. Some in-the-firing surface craquelure and spalling to cobalt slip. A tight, approximately 4 1/4" vertical surface line on front, not visible on interior. H 8 1/4".
