Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "ALBANY.NY," probably O'Connell Pottery, Albany, NY, circa 1860, semi-ovoid jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with a large, boldly slip-trailed design of an abstract flower. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A 1 5/8" in-the-firing chip to proper left side of jug. A glazed-over 2 3/8" gash to bottom edge. Minor in-the-firing flaws to surface. Minor wear to interior of spout. H 14 3/4".
