Very Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Inscribed "Stone ware / Factory," Stamped "M. TYLER & CO / ALBANY," NY State origin, circa 1825, cylindrical jar with rounded rim, featuring the incised and cobalt-highlighted inscription, "Stone ware / Factory," below the cobalt-highlighted maker's mark of Moses Tyler. The only example of marked Tyler stoneware inscribed in this manner that we have seen. Provenance: William Bouck Collection. A 4 1/2" crack from rim on side of jar. Salt globs near base. H 9 3/4".
