Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Dated 1858, Stamped "F.B. NORTON & CO. / WORCESTER, MASS," 1858, cylindrical jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with crossed, scrolled stems flanking the date, "1858." Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. In-the-firing chipping to base on front. Minor traces of red paint to surface. Staining to surface. Minor in-the-firing surface flaws. A 6" line across underside. H 14 1/2".
