Stoneware Chicken Waterer with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1885, domed form with tapered finial and applied watering trough with carved opening, brush-decorated with foliate motifs around the shoulder and surrounding the trough. Cobalt highlight to finial. Spider lines to finial and upper body. Two minor chips to finial. A 2" salt drip emanating from opening at base of trough. A large salt drip to front. A 1" vertical in-the-firing line where trough meets waterer. H 10 1/2".
