Three Stoneware Articles, American, 19th-20th century, a four-gallon ovoid jar, incised "4," probably TN origin, second half 19th century; a five-gallon alkaline-glazed churn, Southern U.S. origin, late 19th or 20th century; and a five-gallon ovoid jar, OH origin, mid 19th century. Four-gallon jar in very nice condition with two in-the-firing chips to interior of rim, a minor base chip, and a few minuscule base nicks. Churn with a long horizontal crack at base, a small rim chip, and a few minor rim nicks. Five-gallon jar with crack across underside, extending 8 1/4" up side of jar, minor chips to rim and base, and grease staining. H (of churn) 18 1/2".
