Two Two-Gallon Stoneware Jugs with Cobalt Floral Decorations, Ft. Edward, NY origin, circa 1875, both of similar cylindrical form, one with slip-trailed foliate decoration, stamped "NEW YORK / STONEWARE CO / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.," the other with slip-trailed stylized floral decoration, stamped "HAXSTUN, OTTMAN & CO. / FORT EDWARD, N.Y." Foliate-decorated jug with chipping to spout. Floral-decorated jug with a shallow glazed-over spout chip, some light bubbling to cobalt, and minor surface staining. H (of taller) 14 3/8".
