Multi-Glazed Redware Cream Pitcher, attributed to S. Bell & Sons or J. Eberly & Co., Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, semi-ovoid pitcher with footed base and flared collar, the lead-glazed surface coated in cream-colored slip and decorated with splashes of copper and manganese. Surface wear including a tiny surface chip to side of pitcher. Several small rim chips. A thin 2" crack from rim. A 5/8" in-the-firing contact mark at base, a small piece of adhered in-the-firing clay at base. Minor base wear. H 6 3/8".
