Multi-Glazed Redware Mug, attributed to J. Eberly & Co. or S. Bell & Sons, Strasburg, VA, circa 1890, barrel-form mug with tooled midsection, the lead-glazed surface decorated with large splashes of manganese and a small touch of copper over a yellowish, slip-coated ground. Some wear to rim. A small piece of in-the-firing clay adhered to base of handle. H 4 3/8".
