Fine Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Incised Floral Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / MANUFACTURER / MANHATTAN-WELLS / NEW-YORK," early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base and heavily-tooled spout, decorated with an incised and cobalt-highlighted design of flower bud flanked by graduated leaves. Brushed cobalt drape designs to shoulder. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A good example mixing classic Crolius incised and brushed design elements. One spout chip. Chipping around base. H 13 1/2".
